The hepatic lesion is hypointense to background liver parenchyma on (a) pre-contrast T1-weighted sequences with heterogenous internal enhancement after administration of gadoxetic acid in (b) arterial phase and (c) porto-venous phase imaging. There is gradual washout of contrast on the (d) 5 min delayed and (e) 20 min delayed imaging. Note the excretion of contrast material within the common bile duct allowing localisation of the mass and its relation to the biliary system, aiding surgical planning
