(A) Transverse thin-section CT (1 mm thickness) scan shows a round, 7-mm, pure GGN (arrow) with a well-defined, smooth interface and a mean CT value of −678 HU. (B) Low-magnification (hematoxylin and eosin; original magnification, ×100) photomicrograph shows atypical pneumocytes proliferating consecutively along the thickened alveolar walls. (C) High-magnification (hematoxylin and eosin; original magnification, ×200) photomicrograph shows a spikelike growth of tumor cells.
