Typical HCC CEUS imaging. The mass is estimated to measure approximately 2.8 × 2.2 cm. A hypoechoic mass located in the left lobe (A). On CEUS, the mass displayed hyperenhancement after contrast agent injection (B). Contrast agent washout was observed as a isoenhancement at the lesion during the portal venous phase (60 s) (C) and hypoenhancing during the late phase (4 min 01 s) (D). The ‘Arterial phase hyperenhancement with whole showing marked washout in late in onset (60 s)’ lesion was classified as LR-5 based on the CEUS LI-RADS guidelines. CEUS = contrast-enhanced ultrasound; HCC = hepatocellular carcinoma; LI-RADS = Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System; LR = LI-RADS category
