Patient A (top images) revealed breast cancer metastasis to bone (multi-level vertebral and pelvic metastases, representative lesions indicated by dashed arrow and arrowhead, respectively) which demonstrated homogenous FES- and FDG-positivity. FDG imaging 3 months following hormonal therapy depicts extensive response to therapy, as predicted by homogenously FES-positive disease. Patient B (bottom images) revealed breast cancer metastasis to bone (upper thoracic vertebra, narrow arrow) which demonstrated FES-negativity and FDG-positivity.
