A 52-year-old man had right partial nephrectomy for papillary renal cell carcinoma. Six months after surgery, surveillance FDG PET/CT showed a focal intense uptake in the sigmoid colon (SUVmax, 14.7; red arrows), which was confirmed as benign adenoma on biopsy. There was also incidental finding of physiologic uptake by muscle in the left hip and right shoulder. The patient did not develop recurrence during the follow-up period (84 months)
